Hello,

I'm wondering if it is possible to replace the Toolchain that comes with emIDE with a self compiled toolchain?

Thanks
Sven

Changing to a different toolchain is simple if the usual directory structure is followed:
Global Compiler Settings gcc - 4.7.4 as supplied with emIDE

Code: Select all

 Settings->Compiler->Toolchain Executables:
 C:\Program Files (x86)\emIDE\emIDE V2.20\arm
 Settings->Compiler->Search Directories->Compiler:
 C:\Program Files (x86)\emIDE\emIDE V2.20\arm\arm-none-eabi\include

Global Compiler Settings - gcc 4.7 as downloaded from Sourceforge

Code: Select all

 Settings->Compiler->Toolchain Executables:
 C:\Program Files (x86)\GNU Tools ARM Embedded\4.7 2013q1
 Settings->Compiler->Search Directories->Compiler:
 (leave blank)

Global Compiler Settings - gcc 4.8.3

Code: Select all

 Settings->Compiler->Toolchain Executables:
 C:\Program Files (x86)\GNU Tools ARM Embedded\4.8 2013q4
 Settings->Compiler->Search Directories->Compiler:
 (leave blank)
